Sue Mort Therapies – Clinical Supervision (Online)
I offer professional, supportive online supervision for counsellors, therapists, hypnotherapists, and other helping professionals. Sessions are delivered remotely, providing flexible and confidential support wherever you are based.
Supervision offers a reflective space to step back, gain clarity, and develop both professionally and personally. It supports ethical practice, client care, and your ongoing growth as a practitioner.
For me personally, supervision has been, and continues to be, invaluable to my practice, and indeed, it’s probably true to say that the relationship with my supervisor of over 10 years is one of the most significant of my life.
Why Supervision Matters
Supervision helps us reflect on our work, notice patterns, challenge assumptions, and gain fresh perspective. It is a vital part of professional responsibility and an opportunity to deepen understanding, resilience, and confidence in practice.
I offer clinical supervision to helping professionals including fellow supervisors, counsellors and hypnotherapists at all stages of their career. I also provide pastoral support to carers, support workers, holistic, complementary, and alternative therapists.
Supervision With Me
My supervisor style is collegial and consultative, and is adapted for trainees. I have provided supervision both in person and online and now work almost exclusively remotely. My longest supervisor role was in person for 6 years until my supervisee retired and I bring this long-term relational understanding into my work.
I hold a Diploma in Supervision (The Link Centre) and am fully insured. My aim is to offer a thoughtful, ethical, and supportive supervisory relationship tailored to your professional needs.
The Practicalities
We will contract together to ensure supervision meets your requirements and aligns with your governing body’s guidance.
- Typically 90 minutes per calendar month
- Or 45 minutes fortnightly per calendar month (mandatory for trainee counsellors)
- Evidence and reports can be provided as required with adequate notice.
We will contract together so that you get what you need from our supervisory relationship
“I am writing this review based on my experience working with Sue as a supervisee. Sue was supportive and knowledgeable, and provided me with additional insight and guidance. Not only with my client work, but also with my growth and development as a counsellor. I would not hesitate to recommend Sue to anyone looking for a supervisor”.”
“Sue was incredibly supportive and helpful as a supervisor when I worked in private practice. Her knowledge and willingness to learn alongside me helped me grow within my counselling practice. If I was still working privately I would absolutely continue to work with Sue”.
“For me supervision is one of the most key parts of my counselling practice and I feel grateful for the work Sue and I have done this year. She has been welcoming, challenging and supportive throughout. Whatever component of my work I bring, we explore carefully and I leave with so much more to consider and reflect on that I expect to. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a new supervisor.”
